Synplant not appearing in Logic (9.1.8)

    Hi Sonic Charge!

I just installed your Synplant package but it doesn't seem to show in Logic.

I have installed the package twice, also uninstalling and restarting a number of times... still no luck.

I presume the install package should drop a .component file into the relevant folder, but when I checked that folder I don't see any .component file.

Any tips/advise on to what I may be doing wrong?

    Many thanks!

    Hi there,

There should be a SynplantAU.component in your /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ folder after you have installed. You should also be able to test that it is installed correctly by running the following command in a terminal window:

    auval -v aumu NuSP NuEd

It should give you a "AU VALIDATION SUCCEEDED" at the bottom.

If that works, then the only thing I can think of is that you run Logic in 64-bit mode where as Synplant is 32-bit only. Please run Logic in 32-bit mode first, scan all the plugins, then switch back to 64-bit mode and it should show up bridged.
