Generation 16 is up, which means we have a top and bottom list for generation 15 to present for you.

For generation 16 I actually decided to do something different. Instead of just basing the patterns on votes from generation 15, I used all previous generations instead! So the beats that are spinning now are the offspring from the best patterns ever.

I did this to increase the variation a bit, since I began fearing that the entire experiment started to converge and the "well behaved" patterns began sounding too similar.

I don't plan to do this for every generation, but perhaps once a year or so.

But here are the results for generation 15:
