I don't know if this is the right place to post, or if you even consider suggestions. If not, I apologize in advance.
THE SETUP:
I've installed Synplant on two computers, my desktop (studio) PC and a (mobile) laptop. These devices share a synced music resources drive that contains things like Synplant patches, samples etc. Because new Synplant user patches are stored by default in the Documents folder of each individual machine, I'm constantly having to shuttle new patches between machines by remembering to copy them from the Documents folder to the shared drive. Later I have to navigate to that drive to open them in Synplant. If I've overwritten a patch for some reason, I also need to remember which version is the one I need to keep. It's not the worst problem to have and there are companion programs to sort out file versioning and syncing, but it truly breaks my workflow when I've created a new project in the studio with a series of Synplant patches and I somehow forgot to copy them to the common drive.
THE ASK:
I would love the ability to set my own default User Patches directory in Synplant as opposed to being required to use the hard-coded C:\Users\MyName\Documents\Sonic Charge\Synplant User Patches directory.
I've programmed applications myself for years so I realize it may or may not be trivial to add an optional User Patches Directory variable, but I'm happy to discuss further if there's interest. Thank you for creating one of my favorite plugins.
