Hi, every time I open an instance of Microtonic or Microtonic Multi it says that I am running a trial version and asks me for my registration key. No matter how many times I authorise the product it keeps doing this for some reason...
This is really frustrating because it happens even if I close the instance in the same project and reopen it.
Any help pls
The last two online authentications I found were from December and August. Are you registering with the offline manual key every time?
Usually, when Microtonic keeps asking for registration, it's when it can not write and read the preference information. On Mac, it can be a file access/rights issue. Other possible reasons might be if you have an old version of Microtonic somewhere on your system that gets loaded by mistake, or if you're using a host with very restrictive sandboxing.
What host are you using?
My recommendation would be to uninstall all Sonic Charge plugins. Start your host to ensure that they are completely gone. Now find and delete the following path (where ~ is your home folder, like /Users/fredrik/) ~/Library/Application Support/Sonic Charge
Download the latest installer from our download page.
What you can test here is that during installation, choose to not start the Authenticator; instead, launch your host and add a Microtonic instance. This way, we can ensure that the preference folder is created in the context in which Microtonic runs.
When Microtonic asks for registration, select online authorize with the Authenticator. Go through the steps to authorize and double-check that your name appears in the bottom right corner of the Microtonic UI.
Quit your host, start it again, add a Microtonic, and verify it's still registered.
