I love microtonic and have since i bought it many years ago. However, I was wanting to know if there was any work around regarding phasing. Using a spectrum like Voxengo it seems to only happen when the noise generator is introduced, resulting in a different sound on every hit which is a bit annoying. Maybe it is the nature of a noise signal in hgeneral, but I am not an expert.
Any Ideas?
For now I am just sampling hits and picking the ones I like the best to overcome the issue, but I would rather just use the plug-in. Funny, I hardly recognized it before I started recently started using a spectrum analyzer with microtonic.
The randomness of the noise generator is a design choice and part of the character of Microtonic. If you want every hit identical, then yes, a sample is the best choice. We had some problems with this when we tried replicating famous vintage machines in our Vintage Tonic patch package, so we do recognize that locking the noise could be a useful feature.
Hey, thanks for the speedy reply mate. At times it is not a problem and actually welcome it. Depends on the project I reckon.
