Hey everyone,
Every time I try to graft onto a branch with the lowest value, I get this message: “You need to extend the destination branch a little.” But what if I want to graft onto the smallest value possible? Is there a way to do that?
The reason I’m asking is that I’m trying to create a drum bank where I can morph from one bank (0 value) to another (maximum value). Is there any way around this restriction?
Thanks!
You can inverse branch with a script after grafting
cool, how would I do that?
I'm sorry, but unfortunately, you cannot graft onto the smallest value possible because when branches are not extended, they play the seed sound.
In Synplant, each branch morphs that seed sound into a unique direction and a unique sound. The target sound for each branch is randomized each time you plant or create a new random patch, and before I introduced the "Grafting Mod," there was no way to control this randomness. With the "Grafting Mod," however, you can set one target sound per branch, but only one.
So, while you can morph from the seed sound into 12 different sounds on a single plant, you cannot morph from 12 different sounds to another 12 different sounds. There aren't 24 distinct sound settings in a Synplant patch. Only 1 for the seed + 12 for the branches.
