I tried to download free trial of Synplant 2, when it got to authentication it said there was an SSL error not sure why, can you help? kept clicking retry didn't work

What OS are you using? If your OS is outdated, it might not trust the root certificate authority that has issued our SSL certificate because it is too new.

Oh, Ventura should be no problem. It is new enough. If you can visit our website using Safari, it's the same certificate that the Authenticator uses, and it should work out for MacOS 10.12.1 and later.

But I got so caught up in figuring out the error that I missed the first part of your message. If you want to trial Synplant 2, you do not need to authorize. The Sonic Charge Authenticator is only used to unlock the full version. Just skip it and rescan for plugins in your DAW, or start the stand-alone application.
