How does the modulation envelope work?

I would like an explanation of how the modulation envelope works and how it is connected to all the other parameters. In all the other synthesizers I decide what to modulate with the envelope, but here I don't understand at all. What does it modulate? To which parameters is it connected?

If anyone has a guide on how DNA works, please send it to me

All the modulation target amounts are named _mod, and their knobs have a red color. They are:

    • a_mod (oscillator A+B pitch + filter cutoff)
    • fm_mod (FM amount)
    • mix_mod (oscillator A/B mix)
    • b_mod (oscillator B pitch)
    • flt_mod (filter cutoff)

The mod_atk and mod_dcy genes determine the shape of the attack and decay phase of the modulation. The timing is decided by the common env_ genes.

mod_sh applies a sample-and-hold effect on the modulation (making it steppy and subject to tempo sync if enabled with the sync popup menu).

mod_vel determines how much velocity affects modulation amount (all targets).
