We are amazed and proud to discover that Synplant reached position six when the public voted on best new product 2009 for the British MIA Music Awards! musicradar.com arranged the poll and their motivation to Synplant's success goes like this:
Synthesizers have rarely stepped off the familiar path of oscillator, filter and amp over the last 20-odd years until Synplant dumped all familiarities in favour of a "genetic approach" to sound design in 2009!
The nominations included all kinds of hard and soft music equipment ranging from the exotic (esoteric?)
Eigenharp to environmentally friendly drums and software such as Propellerheads Record. Korg ultimately won the award with their series of Nano controllers.
