Sorry for the obvious newbie question!

In pattern a I have a drum channel (8 for example) that has a sequence I want to use in pattern b. How do I copy and paste just this channel? I have tried copy drum channel (all patterns) and then paste, but this doesn't work. I am on mac btw.

Yeah, the "Copy Drum Channel" menu is for building layers (across all patterns). You are looking for "Copy Pattern Channel" and it can be found by alt-clicking the "Pattern Edit Menu", or simply alt-clicking the "Copy Pattern" button. Both of these buttons are in the lower-left section.
