Hello there Microtonicers. It is time for a new Patternarium generation and a rundown of the best and worst from the last one.
We let generation 26 run for an unusually long time and over 6500 people have voted this time (typically this number is around 2000). 130000 votes in total.
Over the years, the ratio of upvotes vs downvotes has slowly climbed. In other words, it seems Patternarium is improving all the time. This is pretty exciting to me. A few years ago the ratio was typically around 40% up vs down. Now it is 53%. Will the new generation break 60%?
Enough said. Here is the rundown of generation 26.

Well, while checking generation 27, I have yet to vote 1 down... at this point I'm not even sure who's training who xD ...maybe the Patternarium is training us to like it ;)
Cool!
New inspirations for new tracks and their corresponding names.
Thanks,
i love this concept and please keep it going for many years.
I only miss the best/worst of parts 1-2-3. Rest is complete. How can I get those first 3 years, please?
some really nice beats in there - thanks!

Hello.
What I listen on the pattenarium website is unique or ist it a actual random choice a pre generated rhythms in it's current generation??
Thank you!
Hy Magnus Lidström .. When I am logged in I see generation 26 and when I'm not logged in I see the generation 27 I guess... and I am sure I'm seeing the 26 generation when I'm logged in because I gave ratings and likes to that generation... it's anyone experiencing the same behaviour or .. what am I doing wrong ? anyone can help ? thank
@Sebastian There are 1000 unique patterns generated for each generation. But all users get to listen and vote on the same patterns. That's how we use the voting result to evolve the patterns for the next generation.
@JBDS1 Right now, generation 27 is the latest, yes. Once signed in, try to go to https://soniccharge.com/patternarium#/27 to jump directly to 27.
Fredrik Lidström ..Thank you
Wow! I don't have microtonic (yet? maybe) but this is really fun to hear none the less. Some of those bad ones were indeed very bad. 🤣
And those names! Sexitol Fagopod! <3
All that aside, the good ones really are quite impressive! Sure sounds like musical choices made by actual competent people, which I guess shows that this is working right? Very cool...
