How do I get pattern chain to work?

I've read the section in the manual and played with the buttons in various ways, but I can't seem to figure it out..

You just need to use the arrow buttons in the GUI to chain neighbour patterns. Make sure you have a loop set up in the DAW that is long enough. If you have a 1 bar loop, mTonic will just play the first bar and start from the beginning, so you won't hear the chain.

Ah, that's what I was doing wrong - I only a one bar loop set up in Logic - Thanks!
